JAPAN, a Nation of Assholes!

Lest we forget, Japanese atrocities were the order of business for more than a decade, and resulted in MILLIONS of deaths throughout Asia and the Pacific. The Japanese systematically tortured, raped, pillaged and murdered everything in their path, and would likely still hold most, if not all, of Asia today had America and the allies not stepped in. The Japanese DO want to forget, and are trying to erase these memories from the history books. They now officially deny much of what happened to this very day. This page serves as a very small reminder to everyone of what our "greatest generation" faced in the Pacific. It also hopefully memorializes those who perished, both by the allied forces, and by the multitudes of civilian men, women and children throughout Asia.

Nanking Massacre - Nanking China - 1937

More than 300,000 Chinese civilians are brutally massacred. Men, women and children are lined up and used for bayonet practice. Women are gang-raped, tortured and killed. Officers hold beheading competitions, where they see how many heads they can remove within 5 minutes (the record is 106).

The massacre is confirmed in pictures (many taken by the Japanese themselves as war trophies). It was also well documented in Japanese military and government documents, as well as by the Germans who were allied with them. The Nazi embassy in Nanking has documents recounting that well over 200,000 were killed. These are just what the relative few Germans in the embassy witnessed. The real numbers will probably never be known.

During the cleanup, many international charity groups counted the bodies as they buried them. Over 200,000 bodies were recovered and buried in the months following the massacre. Many reports say that the Japanese threw many of the bodies into the Yangtze River, and also burned large piles of corpses. The U.S. and most international estimates are that over 300,000 people were systematically and viciously killed during the months that Japan occupied this area.

By the 1970's, the Japanese began to claim that Nanking was grossly exaggerated. They have since claimed that "only" 38,000 to 42,000 were killed. This is the figure that most Japanese history books used into the late 1970's.

By the 1980's many Japanese began to deny that Nanking ever took place. They claimed that it was all fictional, and was made up by the west to make Japan look bad. China begged to differ, but the Japanese answered that by blaming the war on China.

In 1990, the Japanese government OFICIALLY denied that the massacre ever took place, and claimed that China made the whole thing up.

Bataan Death March

Japanese soldiers subject 36,000 allied soldiers to a forced march, deliberate thirst, oppressive heat and starvation. They shot in cold blood anyone who tried to drink water, watched sick men writhe in pain and denied them medical attention. They horsewhipped those who tried to help their fallen comrades, and beat men with two-by-fours. They beheaded those who tried to run, and buried tortured men alive. There is no official death toll, but many thousands never made it to the prison camps.

After arriving at "Camp O’Donnell" prison, about 2,200 American prisoners died in April and May of 1942. Much heavier mortality rates occurred amongst the Filipino prisoners of war at Camp O’Donnell... no official count exists.

After arriving at the Prison Camp at Cabanatuan - about 3,000 Americans died by the end of October 1942. Torture, mutilation and all manner of horrors were daily occurrences for the tortured souls at Cabanatuan.

I realize that there are a LOT of other war atrocities committed by the Japanese, but I don't want to write a history book here. Do yourself a favor and read about it online. A quick Google search will reveal horrific pictures and historical accounts of just a few of the things done by these vicious bastards.

M40's SUMMARY:   In my many business dealings with the Japanese over the years, I've found them to be snide and impetuous little xenophobe racists. They hate everyone and everyone hates THEM (at least in Asia... most Westerners have forgotten).
