Presenting... THE ASSHOLE FILES!!

 

FotoConnection.com SUCKS !!

I recently did some business with www.FotoConnection.com. I purchased a digital High Definition projector from them on a Saturday. I was lied to by the sales folks about the item being in stock, and that it would ship on Monday. I paid an extra $50 for expedited shipping. The order was not shipped until Wednesday. They are in NY state, I am in Mass. The order was shipped from a distributor in Washington state, and it was shipped via UPS ground. Not once was I notified by them that there were any issues or delays with the order. Of course, they never called and said, “gee… we had to ship it ground, so here’s your $50 back”. I had to call them… twice… to find anyone who could give me any info as to where my shipment was. Finally, after a long time holding on the line, I spoke with a customer “service” person, and got nothing but a “well… what do you want us to do about it?” attitude. When I pressed the issue, they finally offered to take $15 off the shipping. UPS ground from NY to MA comes to less than $10 (I checked online), yet the best they were willing to offer me for their screw-up was… a $35 shipping charge instead of $50  ?!?

 PS - NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.......... NEEEEEVERRR do business with an online electronics retailer from Brooklyn. I don't know why, but almost all of the terrible, unscrupulous and illegal online electronics retailers are located in Brooklyn. I'm beginning to suspect it's mob related, and that it's "protected". Otherwise you'd expect massive crackdowns in such a relatively small hive of illegal mayhem.
